Your Current LISO Officers

President - Renee Palting

Renée is in Tucson, AZ and will graduate this Fall with a MLIS and graduate certificates in Archival Studies and Instruction and Teaching for Librarians & Information Professionals. She does not know what the future holds but is open to all possibilities. 

 

Renée is an avid letter writer, loves documentaries, and enjoys printmaking.  She doesn’t have a favorite book, but enjoys reading lost letters.

Secretary - Emily Rocha

Emily is from Portland, OR and will be graduating with her MLIS in Spring 2023. After graduating, she would like to be a government archivist, particularly at a National Park.

​

Her favorite book is The Root Cellar by Janet Lunn. Emily enjoys hiking, cooking, baking, and snuggling with her dogs. In 2021, Emily and her dog visited 55 National Park Service units!

Treasurer - Jonathan Ratliff

Jonathan is a recent MLIS graduate, Summer 2022, and will be completing his Graduate Certificate in Digital Curation in December. He aims to work in technical services with an emphasis in cataloging, metadata, language access, and linguistic diversity in libraries.

Jonathan has an art background, likes to cook, and go to the movies He does not have a favorite book, but highly recommends everyone reads The Boy Detective Fails by Joe Meno.

Marketing - Tamah Bartlett

Tamah is located in Tucson and will be completing her MLIS in Fall of 2022 after completing an internship at the UA Law Library. She obtained her Graduate Certificate in Archival Studies in May of 2022. She will be graduating in the Fall of 2022. After graduating, Tamah aims to work in an archive and apply her art and marketing skills to encourage others to take an interest in GLAMs (galleries, archives, libraries, and museums).

​

Tamah dedicates her free time to fine and digital arts (everything from pencil drawings to 3D animation), metal stamping, making her own jewelry, crocheting, and reading. Her favorite book is Lirael by Garth Nix. Fun fact! Tamah became ordained online to officiate weddings in the state of Arizona for her best friend's wedding in 2019!
